New York Rooftop Engagement Party

As the designer and producer of this engagement party, I sought to capture the essence of a chic, timeless New York evening—elevated by bespoke details and an unmistakable metropolitan flair. Set against the glittering backdrop of the Empire State Building on a Manhattan rooftop, the event blended intimate sophistication with bold, playful nods to the city.

Guided by the aesthetic of a classic cocktail lounge, I infused every element with intentional design. Custom drink toppers, cocktail napkins with diamond-shaped crystal paperweights (a subtle homage to the engagement ring), and matchboxes—doubling as curated guest favors—reinforced the theme. The venue’s deep green and blue furnishings were punctuated by vibrant yellow, white, and orange bud vases, creating a dynamic contrast that felt both organic and meticulously styled.

A cohesive visual identity tied the experience together: all signage, menus, and the matchbox guest favors—designed by me—featured a signature shade of Liberty Green, celebrating the couple’s love story against the iconic tapestry of New York. The result was an evening where every detail—from the skyline views to the tactile elegance of the stationery—felt like a love letter to the city and the couple’s next chapter for their 70 guests to celebrate.
